Intent

This rule ensures that the learning aim recorded with the original learning start date is valid in LARS

Guidance

Check the LARS database to ensure that the learning aim you have recorded is valid for apprenticeship funding on the original learning start date, if this aim is not available for that funding model then it must not be used.

Description

If the Original learning start date is returned and the aim is a component aim and the learning aim is part of a funded apprenticeship framework programme, then the Original learning start date must be between the validity start date and end date in the LARS database for this learning aim.

Detailed description

If the Original learning start date is returned (LearningDelivery.OrigLearnStartDate is known), and the aim is a component aim (LearningDelivery.AimType = 3) and the learning aim is part of a funded apprenticeship framework programme (DD07 = Y), then the Original learning start date must be between the validity start date and end date in the LARS database for this learning aim

(error where there is no record where LearningDelivery.OrigLearnStartDate is between LARS_StartDate and LARS_EndDate in the LARS_Validity table where (LearningDelivery.LearnAimRef = LARS_LearnAimRef and LARS_ValidityCategory = APPRENTICESHIPS)

Exclusions

This rule is not triggered by apprenticeship standards (ProgType = 25)
