The Further Education Workforce Data Collection (FEWDC) 2025/26 opened on 31 July 2026 and will close on 11 September 2026 .
The FEWDC provides vital national and regional data on the workforce and governors within further education providers across England. This information plays a key role in supporting policy development.
As FEWDC is a mandatory statutory return , all in-scope providers are required to submit a complete and accurate return by the published deadline.
Failure to submit adversely affects the accuracy and reliability of the national dataset and limits our ability to make informed decisions that will improve quality and outcomes across the sector.
Please note there have been no changes to the collection from the previous year, no changes or additions have been made to the guidance. Your data should be an updated version as to what was submitted in the last collection.

Support Available
To help providers complete their return, we will be running daily support surgeries from 11:00am to 11:30am throughout the collection period.
