Intent

To ensure that learning aims are returned for the correct valid dates in the LARS service

Guidance

Ensure that, for learning aim new starts on or after 1 August 2021, that are not Restarts, and are part of a funded apprentice standard programme, a Skills Bootcamp, Other Adult or Non funded component aims, the learning aim start date is not be before the validity start date or after the last date for new starts for the corresponding validity category in the Validity table in the LARS database, shown through the FALA service

Description

For new starts on or after 1 August 2021 and are part of a funded apprentice standard programme, a Skills Bootcamp, Other Adult or Non funded component aims, then the learning aim start date must not be before the validity start date or be after the last date for new starts (unless the restart indicator is present) for the corresponding validity category in the Validity table in the LARS database

Detailed description

For new starts on or after 1 August 2021 and are part of a funded apprentice standard programme, a Skills Bootcamp, Other Adult or Non funded component aims, then the learning aim start date must not be before the validity start date or be after the last date for new starts (unless the restart indicator is present) for the corresponding validity category in the Validity table in the LARS database.

Exclusions

This rule excludes: Advanced Learner Loans ( LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMType = ADL)
