The identifier of the employer that the learner is undertaking the work experience placement with.

Collection Requirements

Valid Entries
A valid Employer ID number from the Employer Data Service (EDS). This is a nine digit number.

This field must be recorded for all learners undertaking a work experience placement as part of a Supported Internship. It is not required for work placements that are part of other 16-19 study programmes.

From 1 April 2022, new Employer Identifier numbers are no longer issued. Please use a value of 999999999 where the employer does not exist on the Employer Data Service. There is no longer a requirement to update this within 60 days.
