A learner’s first year of engagement runs from LearnStartDate to the anniversary of that date. Each subsequent year of engagement runs for 12 months from the anniversary of LearnStartDate.
-
Where the activity relating to a given year of engagement is contained within the reporting year TYPEYR should be coded 1. Where activity in a year of engagement takes place over two reporting years TYPEYR should be coded 2.
-
TYPEYR should reflect the intentions at the start of the year. It should not be changed if a student withdraws during the year, or where activity runs over to the subsequent reporting year due to extenuating circumstances.
