Accessing ILR Data for Local Authorities

Local Authoritie s may apply for access to National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) data via the ILR to help fulfil statutory responsibilities for:

  • Young people aged 16–18

  • Young people aged 16–25 with learning difficulties and/or disabilities

This data enables LAs to:

  • Promote engagement in education, training, and employment

  • Track and support young people not currently participating

  • Monitor progress and participation

  • Identify individuals needing additional support

  • Provide tailored guidance and connect young people with opportunities

The Department for Education (DfE) offers ILR data through two release schedules:

  • Monthly Release

These are distributed according to the official monthly timetable .

  • Twice-Yearly Release

These are distributed in January (SN04) and End of February (SN06)
